About the Project

The BER4 Project develops simulation and educational resources for disaster preparedness and response. Through international cooperation, technical visits and collaborative workshops, we design training modules, facilitator guides and a digital simulation toolkit that strengthen the capacity of institutions and volunteers before, during and after disasters.

Goals

Project objectives

Develop Educational Materials

Produce standardised training modules, facilitator guides and activity sheets for disaster preparedness across partner countries.

Build a Response Network

Connect civil-protection institutions and NGOs across Türkiye, Europe and North Africa into a coordinated network, finalised by April 2027.

Create a Digital Simulation Toolkit

Design an accessible digital toolkit of scenarios and resources that institutions can reuse for realistic disaster simulations.

Strengthen Volunteer Capacity

Train and mobilise volunteers with practical, phase-based knowledge for the before, during and after stages of a disaster.

Promote Knowledge Exchange

Enable technical visits, joint exercises and intercultural exchange between emergency-response organisations.

Raise Public Awareness

Share verified facts and preparedness guidance to increase community resilience against natural and man-made hazards.
